NBA Opening Night: Nets-Warriors, Clippers-Lakers Preview

NBA Opening Night

NBA Opening Night is here! We are all happy to have basketball back and I am here to breakdown the two matchups and provide what will happen.

NBA Opening Night is back in full swing. The NBA brought us two highly intriguing games filled with the biggest stars in the game. We have Nets-Warriors first at 7:00PM, followed by Clippers-Lakers at 10:00PM. Let’s break these two matchups down and I will provide what I am betting on.

Warriors at Nets (-7.5), O/U: 230

Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. 3 of the biggest stars in the NBA, and now we get to watch them on Opening Night. Sadly, without Klay Thompson, the Warriors don’t stand a chance. The Warriors are going to need Stephen Curry to carry the team, which is why he’s among my favorite player props to bet: see the rest of those here. If I am going to touch this game, it will be the over. Both teams aren’t going to play much defense and they will play fast. In the end, the Nets should win this game, but I could see the Warriors keeping it closer than people think. Take the over which will hit easily.

Clippers at Lakers (-3.5), O/U: 219.5

On NBA Opening Night in 2019, the Clippers came out and won 112-102, so Vegas has set the O/U correctly. I could see the Lakers losing this game because I don’t anticipate LeBron or Anthony Davis to play big minutes out the gate, while I do expect Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to play big minutes. The Lakers receive their rings tonight and they will rub them in the Clippers’ faces. Clippers want to put the NBA world on notice tonight after a disappointing 2019-2020 Campaign. They win this game solely because it means more to them than it does the Lakers. Clippers+3.5 is my pick.

And that’s it. NBA Opening Night is going to be a doozy! Check out our NBA Award Predictions for the 2020-2021 Season here , or by click article below. Peace!
