College Football Bowl Picks: 5 Bets to Make

College Football Bowl Picks

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and of course I’m talking about College Football Bowl Season! I will preview several key bowl games as well as both College Football Playoff Semifinal games. This bowl season will surely have a different feel to it amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but fear not, I have picks a-plenty. Let’s hop into my College Football Bowl Picks.

Note: At the time of writing this article, all games are expected to be played.

College Football Bowl Picks are back! Here are our 3 best bets to make this December and January!

Notre Dame at Alabama (-18.5)

Pick: Notre Dame +18.5

Analysis: Do I feel great about picking a team not to get blown out by the far-superior Crimson Tide? Nope. This pick mainly hinges on what I saw Florida do against Alabama. Florida’s offense was able to score points at will, and I believe Notre Dame will expose many of those weaknesses. Notre Dame’s defense is also much better than Florida’s as well. Give me the Fighting Irish +19.5 and prove to the world that they belong in the College Football Playoff.

Ohio State at Clemson (-6.5)

Pick: Clemson -6.5

Analysis: We are heading for another Clemson vs. Alabama National Championship and I don’t believe the Buckeyes have what it takes to stop that from happening. Did they impress against Northwestern in the Big 10 Championship? Ehhh, not really. Their defense for much of the year has left a lot to be desired. Justin Fields has flashes of NFL brilliance, but also sometimes struggles to throw the ball accurately. To beat Trevor Lawrence and the Tigers, he’s going to need to channel the best game of his career. I say Lawrence and the Clemson offense is too much for the Buckeyes and they will win by 14.

Cincinnati at Georgia (-9.5)

Pick: Georgia -9.5

Analysis: This game will determine if Cincy is ready to play with the big boys of the Power 5. UGA has been much improved with JT Daniels taking over the offense late in the season. Ridder and the Bearcats have impressed many this year, but when he’s playing defenses like Memphis and UCF, that’s not really hard to do. The dawgs historically don’t show up for non-playoff bowl games but I say that stops here against an AAC cupcake. Give me the Dawgs to win by 10+ and remind everyone why the SEC is just a different breed of football.

College Football Bowl Picks are done. Those are my 5 favorite bets to make us some money. If I don’t go 3-2 at least then I will retire from betting on College Football until next year.
