NFL Playoff Predictions: Wild Card Weekend Edition

NFL Playoff Predictions

NFL Playoff Predictions: Wild Card Weekend Edition is here. The NFL Regular Season has come and gone, but the most exciting time of the year is here: The NFL Playoffs.

All 17 weeks down the drain. But this is when it gets most interesting. In a new playoff format, 14 teams make the playoffs and battle it out until one wins the Super Bowl. We are here to preview each game and give you our NFL Playoff Predictions for what will be the outcome of each matchup. Let’s hop right into the first game at 1:05 on Saturday, December 9th: Colts at Bills.

Saturday NFL Playoff Games:

1:05PM: Colts at Bills (-6.5), O/U: 51.5

Not many expected both of these teams to be playing on Wildcard Weekend, but they made it here. I would love to see Philip Rivers finally find some playoff success, he certainly deserves that in what could be his last NFL Season. The Bills, on the other hand are led by Josh Allen who was brilliant this year. I expect this to be a high scoring game, but in the end, the Bills win it. The Bills have been one of the most consistent teams in the NFL this year, and they are a safe bet to advance to the Divisional Round.

Score Prediction: Bills 31 – Colts 23

4:40PM: Rams at Seahawks (-4), O/U: 42.5

Jared Goff is a longshot to play in this game, but I think that might help the Rams. Goff hasn’t been great all year. John Wolford might not be much better, but he still gives them a shot to win this game. The Rams defense is one of the best in the league. On the other side, the Seahawks have a much improved defense from the start of the year. Russell Wilson and the offense has stalled the last half of the year, but I still think they are good enough to score points against the Rams. You can never count out the Seahawks and Wilson. I say the Seahawks win in a low scoring defensive game.

Score Prediction: Seahawks 20 – Rams 13

8:15: Buccaneers (-8.5) at WFT, O/U: 45

Props to both of these teams for making it this far. Unfortunately, the Washington Football Team cannot score points. It would take an ultimate Brady collapse to not outscore this WFT offense. Sorry Washington, you had a good run, but now is your time to go.

Score Prediction: Buccaneers 31 – WFT 13

Sunday NFL Playoff Games:

1:05PM: Ravens (-3) at Titans, O/U: 54.5

A rematch of the 2019 playoffs where the Titans spanked the Ravens. I expect this game to be closer than last year’s matchup. The Titans have the NFL’s leading rusher in Derrick Henry, who just became the 8th RB to rush for 2000+ yards in a single season. He ran amuck on the Raven’s defense last year. Can he do the same this year? I say no. The Ravens led by Lamar Jackson are rolling right now. Their defense is playing great, but most importantly, Lamar Jackson cannot afford to lose this game. He will never hear the end of his playoffs struggles if he loses this one. I say the Ravens rally around him and get their revenge on the Titans.

Score Prediction: Ravens 27 – Colts 24

4:40PM: Bears at Saints (-9.5), O/U: 47.5

The Bears are going to shock a lot of people in this game. They might not win it outright, but they will be leading at halftime and strike some fear into Saints’ fans. Trubisky is playing better, and this defense led by Khalil Mack can still make life tough on Brees. Kamara is supposed to be back, but that’s no guarantee. This Saints team can be humbled and if their defense doesn’t show up, they could be in trouble. In the end, Trubisky will make a couple mistakes and the Saints will survive a scare from the Bears.

Score Prediction: Saints 28 – Bears 24

8:10PM: Browns at Steelers (-6), O/U: 47.5

We get to see the Steelers play the Browns in back to back weeks. I’m as thrilled as you are. Sometimes I wish the NFL could switch around the games because I would love to see some different matchups but we will break this game down regardless. The Browns beat the Steelers in Week 17 by two points to clinch a playoff spot. Keep in mind, Big Ben was not playing. Big Ben returns this week, and now the Browns are without their head coach due to COVID protocol. That will make a big difference as the Steelers pull away in the second half to put away the Browns. I hope I am wrong on this one. I am not a Steelers fan one bit.

Score Prediction: Steelers 31 – Browns 17
