NBA Player Props, Spreads & DFS Plays for Sunday, 2/28

This is my daily article. We are combining them all into one. We breakdown our 3 favorite NBA Player props, spreads and DFS paly for each and every night. I’ll keep track of my record as the season progresses. Please check us out on Twitter @CallingOurShot for recaps and live updates.

If you are new, we do a giveaway for NBA DFS. If we get in 1st place any night, we will give away $100 to every one of our YouTube subscribers, so subscribe here, it’s free! Let’s hop into these NBA player props!

Bradley Beal Over 32.5 Points (-106) vs. Celtics

These teams have played twice this year, and Bradley Beal dropped 41 points and 35 points on them. I expect that streak to continue for Beal who has hit this over in 2 straight, 4 of his last 5, and 7 of his last 10. I considered Russell Westbrook Over 20.5 Rebounds+Assists given how he has been playing but on the second half of a back to back, I couldn’t trust them giving him his usual minutes. We ride with Beal.

Draymond Green Over 17.5 Rebounds+Assists (-130) vs. Lakers

Would not be surprised if this line went up to 18.5, but Draymond had 19 assists last game. That would’ve hit this over without even including his rebounds (which he had 12). He’s been playing exceptionally well, and this game is against the Lakers which means Draymond is going to go even harder than he normally does. A little extra motivation against LeBron. He has hit this number in 3 straight games, technically having 20+ in 3 straight games, and 8 of his last 12. I like it again tonight against the Lakers.

Jonas Valanciunas Over 30.5 Pts+Rebs (-113) vs. Rockets

Jonas has been having a great year averaging 16.3 PPG and 11.3 RPG. He’s had 15 rebounds in 3 of his past 5 games, and now he gets a matchup against the Rockets who don’t have a starting Center (I guess they have PJ Tucker but come on). Just in the last 5 games, they have given up big performances to opposing centers like: Jarrett Allen (26 pts & 18 rebs), Wendell Carter Jr. (18 pts, 13 rebs), and Joel Embiid (31, 11 and 9). While I expect Jonas to continue that trend tonight against the Rockets in what should be a low scoring game.

8:10 PM: Knicks (-1) at Pistons, O/U: 211.5

Pick: Under 211.5

Two very slow playing teams. The last time these two teams played, albeit over a year ago, the final score was 96-84. I expect a similar score tonight as both teams struggle to knock down open shots. I do also think the Knicks will win, but I like the under more than Knicks ML or Knicks-1.

8:10 PM: Grizzlies (-3.5) at Rockets, O/U: 221

Pick: Grizzlies -3.5

The Rockets will be without Oladipo tonight who is resting. Oddly enough, the Rockets have lost 10 straight games. Their last win actually came against the Memphis Grizzlies, but both teams were playing different at that time. For starters, the Rockets had Christian Wood, and the Grizzlies didn’t have Valanciunas (who I like to have a big game tonight). Grizzlies should clamp up the Rockets tonight. I also like the under, but I will take the Grizzlies-3 instead.

10:10 PM: Hornets at Kings (-1), O/U: 238

Pick: Over 238

The Kings don’t know how to play defense. Never have, never will. This is a high number for a reason. Both teams play very fast. Hornets just combined for 251 points with the Warriors (which we banked on). Prior to that, they had combined for 245 with the Suns and 242 with the Jazz. The Kings just recently gave up 140 points to my New York Knicks. That might’ve been the most points the Knicks have score in years. I am taking the over tonight.

DFS Value Plays + My Lineup:

Value Plays:

Isaiah Stewart ($4600): 25+ fantasy points in 3 of his past 4 games. He should continye to see more and more minutes and I love him as a value play against the second unit Knicks.

Justise Winslow ($3900): He’s averaging 16.3 FP in his 3 games this year. I expect him to get more minutes than usual with Grayson Allen out. The Grizzlies should win this easily and Winslow should be able to get up to 20 fantasy points.

Malik Monk ($4900): Malik Monk has been great recently with 20+ points in 4 of his past 5. He has 27 fantasy points in 4 of his past 5 as well. He should continue his hot scoring against the Kings who don’t play an ounce of defense. See above.

My DFS Lineup for Sunday:

Point Guard: De’Aaron Fox ($8000), LaMelo Ball ($7600)

Shooting Guard: Bradley Beal ($9600), Anthony Edwards ($6200)

Small Forward: Malik Monk ($4900), Justise Winslow ($3900)

Power Forward: Draymond Green ($7800), Isaiah Stewart ($4600)

Center: Jonas Valanciunas ($7400)

Those are my 3 favorite NBA player props for Sunday, February 28th, as well as spreads and DFS plays.  Here’s to hoping we bank together.
