NBA Best Bets Season Record: 171-145

Russell Westbrook Over 20.5 Rebs+Asts vs. Grizzlies

We stayed away last game as it was a back to back, but we are back on the Westbrook train. Westbrook has had 11+ rebounds in 6 of 8 games and 10+ assists in 8 of 10 games. Combine those two together and you’ve got 21. He’s been piling up the stats and he got an extra day of rest which is extremely crucial for his production. I like him again tonight.

Giannis Over 51.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts vs. Nuggets

Giannis has cashed his PRA line in 5 straight games. He has scored 36+ points in 4 straight. So we are riding the hot hand. These teams did match up earlier on February 9th. Giannis managed 30 points but had 0 assists and only 9 rebounds. That won’t happen again as that was with Millsap and JaMychal Green (two above average defenders) who will both miss today’s game.

Trae Young Over 13.5 Rebounds+Assists vs. Heat

Trae Young has been doing this consistently including last game against the Heat when he combined for 17 total. Here are his last 6 games: 17 against the Heat, then 14, 11, 19, 21, 15. So 5 of 6. I like the number and the matchup. I’m taking it tonight.

7:10 PM: Grizzlies (-1) at Wizards, O/U: 236.5

Pick: Under 236.5

Clearly Vegas must know something that I do not. The Grizzlies haven’t been in as many high scoring games as they were last year as they have failed to break 100 points in 3 of their last 5 games. Sure, they can score at will against this Wizards defense but I expect a slower paced game than Vegas expects. 237 is a lot of points and normally I am only comfortable with that # when both sides play no defense. The Grizzlies are known for their grit and grind nature. I lean the under.

8:40 PM: Knicks at Spurs (-3.5) O/U: 216.5

Pick: Under 216.5

The Spurs score on average 13 less points on the second half of a back to back. That’s enough for me to bet the under. You guys already know I’m a fan of Knicks unders. As a Knicks fan, I know we don’t score a lot of points and we play great defense. We take another under.

10:10 PM Suns at Lakers (-2), O/U: 215.5

Pick: Under 215.5

I know, 3 unders in one night, that’s not normally who I am. But when I watch both of these two teams play, what sticks out most is their defense. It’s why they are the 2nd and 4th seed in the Western Conference. The Suns rank 6th in Defensive Rating, Lakers rank 1st. I am taking the under tonight.

Those are my NBA Best player props and spreads for Tuesday, March 2nd.  Here’s to hoping we bank together.
