NBA Best Bets Season Record: 179-149

I do want to note that everything here is more of a half unit play for me. It’s the day before the All-Star Break and I rather be conservative as I don’t know how many minutes the star players will play, but without further ado, let’s get into these picks.

Zion Williamson Over 39.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists (-113) vs. Heat

He dropped 32 and 14 on the Heat, and has only gotten better since then. Last night, our follower, Bryce, gave me this pick and I took it and Zion treated us nicely. He’s averaging more assists than ever with 5+ in 5 straight games. Zion has been a monster and should continue his scoring dominance against this Heat defense. Sure, Bam Adebayo (who is questionable to play) is a good defender, but the ways the Pelicans use Zion will let him feast in the paint again in this matchup.

Ja Morant Under 20.5 Points (-108) vs. Bucks

The Bucks have great rim defense. Last time they played back in the bubble, Morant only scored 12 points on 5/17 shooting and that was in a 15 point Grizzlies win. Law of averages suggests he has a bad performance tonight after his 35 point explosion against the Wizards a couple nights ago. I am taking his under tonight.

Kyle Lowry Under 14.5 Rebs+Asts (-125) vs. Celtics

Even though VanVleet and Siakam are out, Lowry only put up 10 combined last night. Even Russell Westbrook, the stat padding fiend, put up just 21 combined and now we are asking Lowry to get 15 total. Against Boston this year, he put up 7 combined and 10 combined in 2 games. Last year including playoffs, this under was 10-1. Only game he hit it was in the playoffs when he played 44 minutes. He won’t play that many minutes tonight. Sure, VanVleet and Siakam being outcould skew the numbers, but I still like this as a potential value play. Take the under.

7:40 PM: Pistons at Knicks (-5), O/U: 210.5

Pick: Under 210.5

How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?!

Every time these two teams play, one team fails to break 100 points…sometimes both. They played on February 28th, final score 109-90. They didn’t crack the 200 point mark and that was on a great shooting night from the Knicks (13/26 from 3). I expect a brick fest in the Big Apple. Take the under.

8:05 PM: Nuggets (-4.5) at Pacers, O/U: 226

Pick: Nuggets-4.5

Here are the stats: Indiana is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games. Indiana is 6-11 ATS at home. Denver is 8-5 ATS as an away favorite, including a big outright win against the Bucks two nights ago. The Nuggets are just playing better as a team and the Pacers won’t have an answer for Jokic and company. Taking the Nuggets to win and cover on the road.

VOID: 10:10 PM: Warriors at Suns (-5.5), O/U: 223

Pick: Suns-5.5

This was the line earlier when I announced the play, but since Curry and Green are out, I will stay away.

Here was my analysis for earlier, I still do think that the Suns can cover just not worth an official play at 11-12 points: Phoenix won the matchup earlier this season by 21. The Suns are the far better team as they are 23-11 and the 2nd Seed in the Western Conference. Phoenix is 10-4 ATS as home favorites, while the Warriors are 4-7 ATS as road underdogs. The Suns should be able to take care of the Warriors easily and win this game by double digits. Warriors are also on the second half of a back to back.
